CALIFORNIANS AGAINST HIGHER TAXES

Californians Against Higher Taxes (CAHT) is a statewide coalition of more than 24,000 California taxpayers and nearly 200 organizations and companies committed to holding the line on taxes. For more than 20 years, CAHT has been fighting to stop higher taxes and fees, while working to create more jobs by building a stronger economy.

CAHT's Executive Committee is co-chaired by Jennifer Barrera and Robert Gutierrez. Barrera is the president and chief executive officer of the California Chamber of Commerce, the largest broad-based business advocacy organization in California, working at the state and federal levels for policies to strengthen California. Gutierrez is president and chief executive officer of the California Taxpayers Association, the state’s oldest and largest organization conducting research and advocacy on significant tax and spending issues.

Member organizations of CAHT include the California Business Roundtable, the California Manufacturers and Technology Association, many local chambers of commerce, and local taxpayer organizations.
